What is CAI?
 
Community Associations Institute (CAI) is a national, non-profit association created in 1973 to educate and represent America's (almost) 305,000 association governed communities and the related professionals and service providers who support them.  The Institute is dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations that promote harmony, community and responsible leadership.  For more information on the National organization of CAI, go here.

What Does CAI Do? 

CAI is the only national organization that:

• Serves as a clearing house and research center on community associations.
  
• Assists its members in establishing and operating successful association communities through available publications, workshops, educational programs, conferences and webinars, some of which lead to professional designations.
  
• Provides a national forum for discussing key issues in the association field.
  
• Advocates community association interests before legislatures, regulatory bodies and the courts.
  
• Provides networking and referral opportnities through both the national office and local chapters.
  
• Focuses national attention on the needs and concerns of individuals and professionals involved with community associations.  

 About the Channel Islands Chapter of CAI

The many members of the Channel Islands Chapter of CAI tackle association concerns and provide assistance at the grass-roots level.  The chapter currently has 445 members and continues to grow with CAI National representing over 30,000 members.  By joining CAI, you become a member of the Channel Islands Chapter as well as a member of CAI National.  For more information on the benefits of joining, go here.
