Tim Cline, CIRMS CAI-CIC Chapter President, 2008

As President of your Chapter for 2008, I know I’m just a temporary occupant of this prestigious office.   I find it comforting to rely on quotes of other famous people in hopes that they have more wisdom than I.   So here we go…. In the immortal words of the often quoted 43^rd President of the United States:

We got the message!   If you depend on the “Internets” for your information – you’ll like the fact that the Channel Islands website is being updated and improved.   The result, a product of the brand-new Website Committee chaired by the ever-capable Sabine Liedel of Community Archives, will reflect a bold new approach. To quote the elder 41^st President, our people are all over the “vision thing.”  Over the next few months you’ll see some wonderful enhancements including a new and more welcoming look on the home page – and the potential to not only register for programs and events online, but pay for your reservation using a credit card through a secure site.   Great stuff.   Watch the work in progress at www.cai-channelislands.org. 

We’re well into 2008 and it’s my job to remind you of all the great events yet to come this year.   Make the most of your membership… attend programs, network, meet new people and take this newsmagazine back to your Association and share the information with others.   Education is what CAI is about.   Make the most of it.
