CAI-CLAC Call to Action: Call your Senators TODAY to Stop SB 1265
Senate Bill 1265 continues its march through the California State Senate and is now headed to the floor for a vote. Because of this, we're asking CAI-CLAC members to call their Senators TODAY! This bill presents significant privacy concerns for those living in community associations, allowing any member the ability to access the personal information and signatures of those who vote in association board elections. Click here to find your State Senator or here if you know who your Senator is and just need their Sacramento office phone number. Additionally, SB 1265 strips associations of their right to impose reasonable restrictions on those who can serve on their board (think felons or those who skip out on paying their dues!) while making board elections in general much more costly. Call TODAY to tell your Senator to vote NO on this terrible legislation! Then, visit the CLAC website for more information about this or other Hot Bills.
